Winn Parish Medical Center
Emergency Department
Winn Parish Medical Center is equipped and staffed to assist in emergency situations. Our hospital provides the community with 24-hour physician coverage and on-call specialists which include internal medicine, surgery, nephrology, pediatrics, and critical care. Referral and transfer arrangements are made through our network to Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria for those services not provided by Winn Parish Medical Center.
General Surgery
Our Surgery Department includes two surgical suites, a post anesthesia care unit, and special proedure room, as well as, separate suites for endoscopy and urology. In addition to general surgery cases, the surgery department does laparoscopic procedures, and a wide variety of outpatient surgery and diagnostic procedures. Our hospital projects to do 2000 surgical procedures annually.
Outpatient Services
Winn Parish Medical Center offers a wide variety of outpatient services including Laboratory, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Outpatient Surgery, Dietary Counseling, and most recently Echocardiography and Stress Echo testing. The Stress Lab is equipped with state of the art technology which allows physicians to link directly to Rapides Regional Medical Center's Heart Center for consults by cardiologists.
The Specialty Clinic
The Winn Parish Medical Center Specialty Clinic provides a variety of services including outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, orthopedic, sports medicine, physical medicine and cardiac rehab. The clinic offers patients the convenience of continuing their post-op rehab in their hometown.
