First Lunch & Learn To Focus On Having A Healthy Heart

You’re invited to attend Winn Parish Medical Center’s new Community Education Program called Lunch & Learn.  It all begins on Tuesday, February 14 with our free lunchtime program titled “Having A Healthy Heart”.   Dr. Joseph Landreneau, MD, Cardiologist, will be our key speaker and the one-hour 12 noon program will be held in the board room of Winn Parish Medical Center.

Dr. Landreneau’s “Having A Healthy Heart” presentation on Tuesday, February 14 will focus on how you can maintain the health of your heart through proper diet, exercise, and recognition of conditions that may require further discussion with their personal physician.  He will also discuss some of the latest techniques used in diagnosing and treating conditions that can affect the heart.  Dr. Landreneau is a cardiologist with the Winn Parish Medical Center Speciality Clinic and sees patients by appointment each Tuesday in Winnfield.  His office hours are by appointment by calling (318) 648.3058.

“Our mission is to make a difference in our community and this important and informative Community Education series will help us accomplish that,” comments Winn Parish Medical Center’s CEO, Bryan Bogle.  ”In 2012, we will use what will be a regular series of Lunch and Learn programs, all free to the community, as a means of presenting important health and wellness information to the people we service.”  Bogle adds that in addition to the Lunch and Learn programs featuring a physician or other healthcare expert in their field as presenters, attendees will also receive a free lunch as part of their participation.
